Power sharing is the very spirit of democracy.Justify this statement with three suitable points.
Ans. Power sharing is true spirit of democracy because (i) It helps to reduce the possibility of conflict between social groups. (ii) It is a good way to ensure the stability of the political order.

(iii) Here, people have a right to be consulted on how they are to be governed. Thus, a legitimate government, is one where citizens, through participation, acquire a stake in the system.

Power sharing is true spirit of democracy because:

1. It helps to reduce the possibility of conflict between social groups.
2. It is a good way to ensure the stability of the political order.
3. A democratic rule involves sharing power with those affected by its exercise, and who have to live with its effects.
4. Here, people have a right to be consulted on how they are to be governed. Thus, a legitimate government is one where citizens, through participation, acquire a stake in the system.
5. These are the moral reasons which emphasise that the very act of power sharing is valuable.
