  1. The ratio of volumes of two cubes is 8 : 125. The ratio of their surface areas is

    1. 4 : 25
    2. 2 : 75
    3. 2 : 15
    4. 4 : 15

Ratio of the volumes of cubes = 8
125

l1³ = 8l1 = 2
l2³125l225

∴ Ratio of their total surface areas = 6l1² = l1² = 4
6l2²l2²25

ratio of volume of two cube $ \large = \frac{a^3}{b^3} = \frac{8}{125} = \frac{2^3}{5^3} $

ratio of area of  two cubes $ \large = \frac{4a^2}{4b^2} = \frac{4}{25} $

Hence Option (1) 4:25 is correct.
