Anyone who is serious about staying up to date and competitive in Bungie's looter-shooter MMOPRG relies on the ever-changing Destiny 2 Xur location. The franchise's favourite mysterious vendor is always darting around the galaxy for one reason or another, and we're here to make sure you always know exactly where he is.

If it's time for you to check in on old Xur, read on to find out not where Xur is this week, but also what you can expect to buy from him. You might want to double-check his inventory before you seek him out. There's no point visiting the man if he has nothing that'll help you.

Where is Xur This Week?

Xur this week is in the EDZ. To get to him, you'll have to load into the Winding Cove landing zone. Once there, you can sparrow north to the cliffside. You'll see a large Fallen ship on the cliff to know you're in the right area.

You'll have to hop up some rocks on the right side of the ship to get up there quickly. There's also a tunnel entrance directly underneath the Fallen ship to get up to the cliffside where Xur is located.

What is Xur Selling This Week?

Here are the Exotics that Xur is selling this week:

• The Queenbreaker
• Wormcrown Husk (Hunter)
• Stronghold (Titan)
• Felwinter's Helm (Warlock)

Each of these armour pieces have solid stat totals, but strange distribution. None of these exotics are really meta picks, so not a huge rush to pick these up. Both Hawkmoon and Dead Man's Tale are mediocre. The Hawkmoon has Eye of the Storm, which can be useful to win duels.

Here are the Legendary Weapons that Xur is selling this weekend:

• Bite of the Fox (Snapshot Sights, Explosive Payload)
• Seventh Seraph Carbine (Slideshot, Swashbuckler)
• Enigma's Draw (Zen Moment, Demolitionist)
• Temptation's Hook (Tireless Blade, Surrounded)
• Deafening Whisper (Killing Wind, Rampage)
• Extraordinary Rendition (Surplus, Tap the Trigger)
• Sorrow's Verse (Dynamic Sway Reduction, One for All)

Of the weapons that Xur has this weekend, there's a few solid pick ups here. Bite of the Fox has Snapshot Sights and Explosive Payload. This is a great PVP roll if you mess around with Snipers.

If you're looking for a decent Grenade Launcher, the Deafening Whisper has some alright PVE rolls. The Enigma's Draw has Demolitionist, which is great if you're rocking a grenade-focused build.

The only Armor piece that's worth anything this week is for Titans. Xur is selling 30 Resilience, 64 stat total Gauntlets.

While Arms are a bit less desirable right now for a couple of the Titan Solar 3.0 builds, if you're running Loreley Splendor as your exotic armour, these are a great pick-up.

Who Is Xur?

If you're new to the game, Xur is a character that sells exotic weapons and armour over the weekend. He appears at 5pm GMT (6 PM BST) in a seemingly random location and offers rare gear in exchange for legendary shards that you can collect from dismantling legendary gear or completing activities.

We say random location, but he'll always be in the same spots you've always found him in - "Winding Cove" in the EDZ, in a tree in "Watcher's Grave" on Nessus, or in the Hangar in the Tower. He used to appear on Io and Titan, but both of those locations are now in the "Destiny Content Vault".

We won't know what he's offering for players until he appears, but we do know that he'll offer a variety of items.

Xur's inventory always includes one exotic weapon, three exotic armour pieces (one per class), and an isochronal engram that guarantees a drop of a random exotic from Year One or Year Two - and it's always something the player doesn't have, which makes it ideal for finishing collections.

As of Destiny 2: Beyond Light, he'll also offer a bounty that rewards players with an Exotic Cipher – an item that helps them earn exotic weapons from the new kiosk in the Tower.

How Is Xur?

Everyone is always asking "Where is Xur," but never "How is Xur?" Having been the guardian's primary quartermaster since the original release almost ten years ago now - he's probably getting pretty lonely at this point as players seek him out on a set day, grab what they can, and ignore his ex for another few days.

We'll be updating this piece once we know where the tentacle-faced hoodlum is, and what he's offering for Guardians.
