The Intel wireless adapter is experiencing driver or hardware related problems

Hello there! I am distraught. While I was sleeping, suddenly my laptop’s WiFi stopped working. I awoke to a lovely error message, and have since uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, uninstalled and reinstalled the Intel PROSet/Wireless software (both of which were just downloaded today from Intel’s website), disabled the driver and restarted my machine and enabled it again, and even reset by BIOS to factory settings.

I don’t know what else to do, besides doing a Windows 10 restore and I really really really REALLY don’t want to do that, even though I found a tutorial that says it’s possible to do it without losing my files and applications.

Tomorrow I will be going to Best Buy to pick up an Ethernet cable and an Ethernet to USB adapter to try to scan for hardware changes and, if nothing else, get access to the fucking internet again.

So please. Help me. Is there anything else I can try? Anything I’m missing? Help me ObiWan Kenobi, you’re my only hope.
